Za'atar with Hemp seeds
A fragrant Middle Eastern mix that will add a savoury spice to any dish with nutty, toasty, tangy flavour. Great as my seasonings for dry cure mix, my panco flour coating, and for many of my cheese dishes and sauces.
60g Hemp seeds
20g cumin seeds
2pg coriander seeds
60g sesame seeds
50g black onion seeds
20g sumac
10g dry marjoram
10g dry oregano
10g salt flakes
Lightly toast the cumin and coriander seeds in a dry pan just until they start to crackle and pop a little at this stage they release their aroma and they are ready. Turn off the heat and hault the seeds into a mortal and crushing the add rest of the ingredients and enjoy.
Benefits: Hemp, oregano, sumac are all full of goodnes, flavonoids, organic compounds including thymol, gallic acid, carvacrol, and quercetin that are important dietary source of antioxidants. When za'atar is prepared properly has some health benefits, including its ability to improve the immune system, boost skin health, boost energy and treat chronic diseases.
